MEEF is dedicated to enhancing the educational experience of Magnolia students.  That’s why the Teachers’ Collaborative Grant was created:  to provide funds directly to teachers, helping them develop creative and innovative projects for our students. The Foundation is proud to be able to fund five projects, ranging from $250 to $300 for each proposal.  Funds for these grants come from generous donations, including the payroll deduction contributions from educators and staff at Magnolia School District.

Last Spring, MEEF Collaborative Grant winner Cathy Reed led a highly engaging project was funded through a Magnolia Educational Enrichment Foundation grant,  making it possible for every fifth grader at Disney School  to create one of these exciting projects.  Student inventions included The Mohawker, a device that automatically dries and styles hair into a mohawk, The Virtual Glove, which can work with any game console, and Digital Weights which automatically record weight lifting reps.  The event was a huge success and students were proud of their creations.  Who knows – one of these inventions could be the next big thing!
